City of Ember: Chapter 3

In chapter 3, Doon starts his job in the pipeworks. All his life, Doon has been waiting to see the *generator thinking that he would automatically know how it worked, but when he sees it he is really disappointed. Doon has no idea how it works, and doubts that he can save the city now.
generator- generates energy for the whole city
